Born in 1978, Andrew Esiebo lves and works in Ibadan. He is a founding member of the collective of photojournalists Nigerian Black Box. Andrew Esiebo was formed with a first camera, offered in 2000, photographing the youth of his generation, nightlife, football, the revival of religious fervor, the growth of cities, and cultural traditions of Nigeria.
Currently in residence at Raw Material Company, Andrew presents his project "Pride" that consists of a photographic exploration of the phenomenon of hairdressers and barbers for men in the countries of West Africa. He wants to collect the variety of styles requested by customers, as well as places where barbers work in West Africa cities. "Pride" is a project supported by Musée du Quai Branly in Paris, where it will be shown in 2013.
