In conjunction with the MUṬIKKAPPAṬĀTAexhibition, Nathalie Vairac and RAW Material Company
developed a series of public programmes that resonate with her artistic practice.
This exhibition, is being held as part of the 13th edition of Partcours in synergy with the 15th edition of the Dakar Biennale, giving rise to some wonderful encounters and, above all, opening the door to new initiatives and reflections. Nathalie Vairac and RAW Material company, in the expectation to continue these conversations, invite you to take part in our public programmes in the month of November and January:
Saturday 30 November - 3pm:Healing | A feminine conversation on epigenetic transmission |Nathalie Vairac with Maah Khoudia Keita, and Ken Bugul, moderated by Dr. Rama Salla Dieng
This day of pencco*, the second in a series of three events, is entitled ‘Healing | A feminine conversation about epigenetic transmission’. The aim of this meeting is to create a space for discussion, reflection and questioning around stories of resilience and resistance that have triumphed over trauma to reclaim a certain form of agency.
By inviting women from our context, including writer Marietou Mbaye known as Ken Bugul and singer Maah Khoudia Keita, under the moderation of researcher, writer and women's activist Dr. Rama Salla Dieng, we hope to understand the mechanisms by which trauma is transmitted, whether consciously or unconsciously, and to reflect on the different ways in which these patterns can be broken and transformed.
