Amadou Fall Bâ is a Senegalese cultural producer and lynchpin of the organization Africulturban (leader on urban cultures in Africa) which he co-founded with friends in February 2006 in Dakar. Africulturban works to promote the development and dissemination of urban culture through artistic events (festivals, education programmes, exchanges, fora). Today the association counts more than 1250 members. Amadou is also the Director of Festa2h (International Festival of Hip Hop and Urban Culture) that held its 11th edition in May 2016. After completing an advanced training course in cultural management in Germany, Amadou became CEO of King Booking Management (Fair Label Music in Senegal) and director of Hip Hop Akademy (a training and documentation center specialized in Hip hop and urban culture). He is currently an Arts and Cultures Master’s student at ISAC (Higher Institute of Arts and Culture) where he is completing a programme in Arts Administration. He is very involved in the interaction between culture and society. This led him to develop the programme Yuma (Urban Youth Media Academy) that works on the social rehabilitation of young former detainees in Dakar by providing training in audio-visuals, videography, visual art, oral and written expression, IT and electronically supported music programming. Since March 2014 Amadou has been the project manager for Urban Cultures in the office of the Mayor of Dakar and at the same time director of Maison Des Cultures Urbaines (MCU), the public institution for Urban Cultures in Dakar.
