Transmitting | Meditative reflection on ways of being in the world |

In conjunction with the MUṬIKKAPPAṬĀTAexhibition, Nathalie Vairac and RAW Material Company
developed a series of public programmes that resonate with her artistic practice.

This exhibition, is being held as part of the 13th edition of Partcours in synergy with the 15th edition of the Dakar Biennale, giving rise to some wonderful encounters and, above all, opening the door to new initiatives and reflections. Nathalie Vairac and RAW Material company, in the expectation to continue these conversations, invite you to take part in our public programmes in the month of November and January:

  • Friday 10 January 2025 - 6pm: Transmitting | Meditative reflection on ways of being in the world |Nathalie Vairac with Dr Fatou Fall Wally Diop and Dr Mame Toni Fall, and Karima Grant

In the third part of this series of public programmes, we will embark on a meditative journey to refocus and revisit the collections of stories we carry within us. The programme invites introspection around the child within, offering an opportunity to reflect on the transmission of memories _ rituals, traditions, cultural practices and the way we perceive them within ourselves, in an intergenerational way.

The programme, which focuses on transgenerational transmission, will be an opportunity to present the results of the research carried out throughout the process. Our bodies and our skin are like receptacles for memories and legacies that have been passed down through several generations. The symbols of the legacy of intangible memories will be represented through symbolic objects reflecting the links of transmission from parent to child and the methodologies borrowed or adopted to enhance what constitutes our multiple identities. A moment of meditation guided by Nathalie Vairac will be followed by a discussion with the constructive participation of the guests, mother and daughter entrepreneurs in wellness and educational leaders.
