RAW Académie is an experimental programme for the research and study of artistic and curatorial practice and thought. The program usually takes place in Dakar, during 7 weeks, but can also be deployed outside the walls. It is dedicated to a dynamic reflection on artistic research, curatorial practice and critical writing. Originally, the Academy was held during two distinct sessions per year; nowadays we do organize one session per year. Each session is directed by a lead faculty who has displayed an off-the-beaten-track practice in regard to art, curating and art criticism.
